What: Camping and Service Project
When: Friday May 18th – Sunday May 20th

We’ll gather at the Scout Hall parking lot this Friday at 5:30pm to head out to Kerr Scott Lake for a great weekend of camping.
Board of Review will be held during our meeting on Tuesday May 15th.
If you’re up for Board of Review, remember to wear your class A uniform and Be Prepared.
Schedule your physical now and download and take the official BSA Health Form with you for your health care provider to complete. All scouts must have a new Health Form completed each year and you cannot attend Summer Camp with the same form you used last summer.

Summer Camp Fees are due on Friday June 1st.
Our last meeting before the due date is Tuesday May 28th.
You see the connection there? Here’s a hint – we ain’t coming by your house on Friday. Bring your final payment in on Tuesday May 28th.
Our registration for Summer Camp 2012 has been done. As usual, some classes filled very quickly so many of us had to go with our second choices.
Please review your classes and schedule and let us know ASAP is you would like to make any changes. The full roster is available on the site but is for registered website users only. Register with the site and/or login and it’s available under both the Troop Only and Summer Camp 2012 sections of the site.
The William Lenoir Middle School Band Concert is listed on their website as being on Friday May 18th – which is also the first night of our campout at Kerr Scott. The website is wrong – the concert will be on Tuesday May 22nd – so it does not conflict with our weekend of camping.
Yokefellow needs your help in participating in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this Saturday May 12th at the Post Office in Lenoir. Scouts are needed to assist in the sorting of donated food. It will be much the same as the work we do during the pickup day of Scouting For Food each year.
So help out and get some service hours in from 9am to 2pm at the Post Office in Lenoir this Saturday. Make sure you get someone there to sign that you were there for service so you can turn your service hours in.
What: Philmont Crew Fundraiser Car Wash
When: Saturday May 12th from 9am to 2pm
Where: Sagebrush Steakhouse in Lenoir
Troop 254′s Philmont Crew will be having a Fundraiser Car Wash this Saturday for 9:00am to 2:00pm in the parking lot of Sagebrush Steakhouse in Lenoir. Please come out and help our guys as they work their way to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico this summer!
All money from your sales of Piedmont Council Scout Cards and any unsold cards you still have are due this Tuesday during our regular meeting.
What: Camping in the Rostan Cabin at Camp Bud Schiele
When: Friday April 27 – Sunday April 29
We will gather at the Scout Hall parking lot this Friday at 5:30pm to load up and head out to camp.
This weekend out troop will travel to Camp Bud Schiele for a weekend of camping in the Rostan Cabin.
Patrol menus should be set, so check with your patrol on the food costs to determine your payment.
